Kenilworth's Edmonds Jewellers has taken home the prize of 'Best Duck' in the annual competition organized by the Kenilworth Lions Club.

The dazzling entry, aptly named 'Duckbling', stood out among the flock of creatively decorated ducks from local businesses.

Duckbling was adorned with glittering jewels and an unmistakable touch of Edmonds elegance.

The duck will take part in the Decoy Duck Race, a special event where local businesses pay £50 to enter a decorated duck. This race, which takes place ahead of the main Boxing Day Duck Race, also raises vital funds for charity.

Speaking about the win, owner Carl Edmonds shared his delight.

"We're thrilled to have won this year's Best Duck competition," he said.

"Duckbling was a team effort, and we wanted to bring a bit of sparkle and joy to the event.

"Kenilworth Lions do such fantastic work in our community, and we're proud to be part of something that brings people together for a bit of fun - and all for a good cause."

The Boxing Day Duck Race, held in Abbey Fields, draws crowds each year to watch thousands of plastic ducks race down Finham Brook.

Proceeds from the event support local charities and community projects, making it a festive highlight for the town.

Edmonds Jewellers opened at The Square earlier this year after months of work converting the former HSBC bank into the stylist new shop and a new coffee shop run by Morning Sunshine.
