Local primary schools have been recognised for their efforts by Kenilworth in Bloom.

The Gold Award certificate and Cup for outstanding achievement were won by St John's Primary School.

The prizes were awarded at the presentation during morning assembly on 4 November with headteacher Mr Lee, Mayor of Kenilworth Cllr James Kennedy and Caroline Barker (KiB Schools Co-ordinator) all present.

St Johns had not entered the competition for a number of years.

The judges said they were impressed by the planting they were shown by the children and also by their understanding of the environment and wildlife.
