'Memories that last forever' is the message behind a new permanent jewellery offering launched in Kenilworth.

Newly-opened Edmonds Jewellers hosted a launch event for its 'weldED' range this month, allowing customers the chance to see the new range.

Customers can choose from an extensive range of bracelets, necklaces, rings and anklets in sterling silver, rolled gold and 9K gold - then have them fixed forever at the Warwick Road boutique.

Personalisation with chains can also add a "beautiful sentimental element" to a weldED piece of jewellery.

But for Edmonds - which took over and completely transformed the former HSBC unit last year - the weldED range is about providing an event for customers.

"We do it all in front of the customer and they get to leave with a permanent bit of jewellery," owner Carl Edmonds told Nub News.

"It is a real experience, that's what it is all about.

"It is something new for Kenilworth, and a real event for the people who come and do it.

"It is very personal and a fun experience; it is great to hear the laughter when people are getting it done!"

Edmonds has launched its own range of jewellery for the service, which Carl said ensures customers only get the best.

"We want our customers to come into the shop, enjoy picking a chain and some charms if they choose," he continued.

"The experience goes beyond shopping, it is about connecting and conversation.

"Shoppers can enjoy a friendly chat with staff whilst sipping a complimentary drink, making the visit feel more like an enjoyable outing than a typical trip to the shops."

The range is already expanding as demand for the permanent jewellery grows - particularly as it gains huge traction on social media app TikTok.

Carl said the service is particularly popular for groups saying it would be perfect for families and friends, as well as brides and bridesmaids, hen does.

"Of course people are welcome to come in on their own, but we have found it is a great experience for pairs or groups," he explained.

"We have sisters come along, best friends, groups of friends, mothers, daughters and people just wanting to treat themselves.

"We have also found it is very popular with people in the NHS who can get anklets sorted as they are not normally allowed to wear other jewellery.

"Doing something that is permanent, that could be matching or not - they have the freedom to choose."

Carl also reassured customers the permanent jewellery is fine for airport security.

But if there are issues - and for people needing to remove it for MRI scans - Edmonds is happy to reattach the jewellery free of charge if it needs to be removed.

And ahead of Mothering Sunday, Carl also said the permanent range is perfect for gifting.

"You can also buy the piece of jewellery and have it in a gift box to take away and give to someone," he said.

"They can then come in and have it fitted.

"And if they don't like the item - they can even swap it with us.

"We are also doing gift vouchers too!"

Prices start at £45 for bracelets, £50 for anklets, £25 for rings.
