Narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit will be installed on the A46 near the Stoneleigh Junction for up to a year from today (September 6).

Three narrow lanes will be created in each direction as part of the £60 million redevelopment of the junction and will be in place until summer 2022.

The road will be closed overnight to install the narrow lanes.

The road will close southbound from 8pm tonight (September 6) until 6am on September 7 between the Stivichall interchange (A46/A45 junction) and the Thickthorn Island (A46/A452).

Then between 8pm and 6am on the 8 and 9 September 2021 the A46 northbound carriageway will be closed between Thickthorn Island (A46/A452) and Stivichall Interchange (A46/A45).

Diversions will be in place during both nights.
