A new interactive map has been released which shows the most 'Wikipedia'ed' person in every town of the UK

A few names spring to mind when you mention Kenilworth; Andrew Davies, Sarah-Jane Perry, Sir Walter Scott, and Earl Cameron.

There is even a case for saying Edward II is actually Kenilworth's most famous ever resident, having been imprisoned in the Castle between 1326-7.

However, according to this latest interactive map, Kenilworth's most 'Wikipedia'ed' resident is...

Premier League winning goalkeeper Tim Flowers.

A professional footballer and manager, Flowers was born in Kenilworth on February 3 1967 and began his career relatively locally, making his debut for Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1984.

The Englishman would make 63 appearances in goal for Wolves before transferring to Southampton in 1986.

The £70,000 signing eventually became a first team regular towards the end of the decade before making a career defining move to Blackburn Rovers for £2.4million in November 1993.

This fee made him the most expensive goalkeeper in world football; Paul Gascoigne had become the most expensive the year before, having cost Lazio £5.5million in the summer of 1992.

Flowers made 177 appearances for Blackburn, during which time he finished second in the Premier League in his first season, and then helped to bring the Premier League title for Kenny Dalglish's side despite a 2-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield on the final day of the 1994/5 season.

He also made 11 appearances for England during this time, making the squads for Euro 96 and the 1998 World Cup in France.

Flowers stayed at Ewood Park until he returned to the Midlands in the form of Leicester City in 1999, following Rovers' relegation from the Premier League.

His move to Leicester saw him receive a League Cup winners medal in 2000 before retiring as a player in 2003.

In all, Flowers appeared 286 times in the Premier League, keeping 80 clean sheets and winning 123 matches.

A managerial career was born for Flowers in 2007 when he became assistant to Ian Dowie at Coventry City before leaving the next year.

He then took a first team manager role at Stafford Rangers for the 2010-11 season, followed by stints at the Northampton Town caretaker manager in 2011 and 2013.

Flowers returned as a first team manager in 2018, taking the reigns at Solihull Moors before leaving by mutual consent in January this year.

He was the manager of Macclesfield Town when the club was disbanded by a High Court ruling in September.
