The Covid-19 and flu vaccination clinic has moved venues at NAEC Stoneleigh after an electrical fire last Friday (December 3).

Nobody was injured during the fire and the vaccines were moved safely.

But damage to the original hall has meant the clinic has been relocated to Stoneleigh's main hall.

Appointments were cancelled on Friday afternoon, over the weekend and on Monday, but resumed today (December 7).

A statement from South Warwickshire NHS Trust said: "On Friday afternoon (3 December 2021) the vaccination clinic held at Stoneleigh needed to be closed due to an electrical fire.

"No one was injured in the incident and the supply of vaccine at the site has been safely retrieved.

"The building will require repair work before re-opening, which has resulted in the clinics for the remainder of Friday and over the weekend being cancelled. All affected patients have been contacted and made aware.

"The clinics will reopen from Tuesday morning just down the road at the Main Hall in Stoneleigh."

The vaccination centre, which is run by Kenilworth and Warwick Primary Care Network, moved to Stoneleigh three weeks ago from the Ramada Hotel.

The centre is now taking appointments from outside the PCN.
