Over 300,000 Covid-19 vaccinations have now been administered in Warwick district, government data has revealed.

The latest vaccination statistics from gov.uk also show that 80,000 people in the area have already had their booster jabs, with 107,000 having received two doses as of December 28.

In Kenilworth this means that over 70 per cent of people aged 12 or over have received a booster vaccination.

Vaccine numbers by area:

- Kenilworth West: 82.8 per cent second dose / 70.3 per cent booster

- Kenilworth South: 86 per cent second dose / 73.7 per cent booster

- Kenilworth East: 85.7 per cent second dose / 72.4 per cent booster

The local vaccination roll out was aided by the new booster clinic which opened at Warwick Hospital in the week before Christmas.

Staff at the NAEC Stoneleigh vaccination centre also returned to working six days a week to meet the government's plans to offer a jab to every adult by the end of December.

And Warwickshire County Council has also allowed the local NHS to use Northgate House to give vaccinations to 12 to 15-year-olds.

Across the UK over 47 million people have now had a second dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, with 33 million boosters also now administered.
