A new Covid-19 vaccination clinic has opened at Warwick Hospital as the NHS speeds up the roll out of the booster programme.
The clinic, which opened today (December 20), is available for appointments for over 18s and will also be administering first and second doses.
Pfizer vaccines will be available and the hub will be on the ground floor of the Medical Education Centre
The new site at Warwick Hospital will run alongside the vaccination centre run by Kenilworth and Warwick PCN at Stoneleigh Park.
NHS South Warwickshire Foundation Trust said: "From tomorrow a new vaccination hub at Warwick Hospital will be providing booster vaccinations.
"We will be adding appointments as necessary so keep checking back if there is no availability."
Covid-19 booster jabs are now being offered in England to those aged 18 and over who have had their second dose at least three months ago.
The Prime Minister has given the NHS the target of offering boosters to everyone who wants one by the end of the month.
Boris Johnson said a faster roll out was necessary to protect against the incoming "tidal wave of Omicron".
"I'm afraid we're now facing an emergency in our battle with the new variant Omicron," said Mr Johnson.
"It is now clear that two doses of vaccine are simply not enough to give the level of protection we all need. But the good news is that our scientists are confident that with a third dose, a booster dose, we can all bring our level of protection back up."
Booster appointments at Warwick Hospital can be booked here.
