Kenilworth residents aged 65 to 69 are set to receive their first doses of Covid-19 vaccinations in the next two weeks.

A statement from Castle Medical Centre has said: "We are expecting to invite patients aged 65-69 for their Covid vaccine at the Warwickshire Golf Club over the next two weeks."

The Warwickshire Golf and Country Club in Leek Wootton has been a mass vaccination centre for patients from Kenilworth and Warwickshire PCN. This includes patients registered at Abbey Medical Centre, Avonside Health Centre, Castle Medical Centre, Chase Meadow Health Centre and Priory Medical Centre.

Today's announcement comes as further positive news, after the medical centre announced at the end of January that almost 90% of patients aged over 80 in the PCN had received their Covid-19 vaccinations.

The statement continued: "We will contact you via text when you can book your appointment.

"Once a text is received, please click on the link to book your appointment, the text will be from accurx.thirdparty.nhs.uk. If we do not have your mobile number, we will call you.

"Please note we have a fully operational indoor clinic and the option of a 'drive through' facility for people who prefer.

"Our clinics run every week to accommodate our registered patients. Weekly clinics are dependant on vaccine delivery."
