Westwood Academy has recorded its "best ever exam results" today as the school registered a 100 per cent pass rate for A-level and vocational courses for the fourth consecutive year.

With all students passing, 59 per cent of grades were at A* to B and 12 per cent at A*.

The Mitchell Avenue school has also congratulated three students in particular for their achievements.

Notable individual achievements include Amy C, achieving A*A*A* and going to University of York to read Computer Science.

Warrick S secured A*A*A to read Economics at the University of Warwick and Maisie W gained A*AA and will read Management, also at the University of Warwick.

Head of School Helen Lawrence said: "All of the staff at The Westwood Academy are exceptionally proud of our students for the resilience and determination they have shown over the last two years.

"Their unwavering dedication and hard work has enabled our recent trend of upward growth in student performance to continue as the students achieved the school's best ever exam results.

"These results are not only testament to the diligence and resilience of all of the students but also to the support of their families and the commitment of our school staff over the most difficult of times."
