St Nicholas Church Flower Guild Demonstration and Workshop.

21ST March at 10 am for 10.30am 

 Our next workshop is on Saturday the 21st of March in St Nicholas church Kenilworth at 10.30am the usual entrance fee of £3.50 which includes your coffee and biscuits, it is great value so please tell your friends and families. Everyone is very welcome to come along to enjoy the demonstration and the Fellowship, if you would like to join in the Workshop afterwards the recipe is below. I will demonstrate a Basket, a very versatile design as it usually has a handle so can be carried therefore good for small bridesmaids and for presentation.

We will have a Sales table with Floral Sundries kindly donated to us by Ian Lawrence to help boost our Funds so please bring some cash

Trip to Chelsea in Bloom walking tour - Thursday 21st May cost £30

 Event Overview: Chelsea in Bloom is London's largest free flower festival, transforming the streets of Chelsea into a vibrant floral showcase coinciding with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and will feature floral installations adorning the frontages of over 115 businesses in the area

The theme for this year is 'Out of this World',

Recipe for a basket arrangement: -

A basket of your choice try and find one with a wide flat bottom and shallow sides with a good lining so that it will hold water

Oasis to fill (this may be purchased from the Guild)

A selection of foliage's the gardens are coming to life so there is a lot to choose from. Make sure when you have picked it you condition it well.

Three different types of flowers, so that they will give you different shapes and sizes creating texture and interest, these will be of your choice, and the quantity will depend on the size of your basket

Suggestion

Daffodils, tulips hyacinths Freesia you may like to put some small bulbs in of a polyanthus plant
