Rita John is a Coventry author and has two true stories based on her upbringing and struggles working at a major food retailer and a 1970's pub chain.

The novels are raw, unflinching, and ultimately hopeful. Part memoir, part fiction; both novels expose the systemic failures that kept women trapped in violent marriages while celebrating the resilience of the human spirit. It's a story of survival against impossible odds, the unbreakable bonds between mothers and children, and the power of breaking free to reclaim one's life.
