Coventry Cathedral Chorus will perform a wonderful selection of coronation choruses from over the years to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in St Nicholas church in Abbey Fields, at 7pm on Saturday 18 June. 

The Chorus will be under the baton of their new Director of Music, Rachel Mahon. Rachel is Director of Music for Coventry Cathedral and internationally renowned as an organist as well as a choral conductor. 

On the organ for this concert will be Luke Fitzgerald, Assistant Director of Music for Coventry Cathedral. Our new Mayor of Kenilworth has confirmed her attendance. Tickets are selling well so you are advised to buy in advance, by phone or online. 

The ticket price includes a glass of prosecco and canapés. 

Come and join us for a joyful journey through music used in coronations over the years.

  • Purcell: I Was Glad
  • Howells: Behold, O God, Our Defender
  • Walton: Te Deum
  • Parry: I Was Glad
  • Wilan:O Lord, Our Govenor
  • Handel: 4 Coronation Anthems
