A mature Queen Elizabeth endures multiple crises late in her reign including court intrigues, an assassination plot, the Spanish Armada, and romantic disappointments.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age is a historical thriller set against the backdrop of the religious fanaticism of the late 16th century. The story continues 15 years on from the events of the film Elizabeth and visits the 'Virgin Queen' in the middle years of her reign, exploring her relationship with the adventurer Sir Walter Raleigh.

The film will be shown with an intermission with the bar and ice creams available.
