A Kenilworth pub is set to close next month ahead of an "exciting new chapter".

The Abbey Field will shut on Monday 2 November as a "new business" is set to take over.

The High Street inn - which is run by Chef & Brewer - confirmed the news in a post on social media on Thursday night (October 22).

"We wanted to let all our lovely customers know that The Abbey Field will be closing its doors on Monday 2 November as we prepare for an exciting new chapter, with a new business taking over and plans to reopen in summer 2027," the announcement said.

"We'd like to take this opportunity to thank every single one of you who has supported us, visited us, stayed with us and made The Abbey Field what it is.

"It's been a pleasure welcoming so many familiar faces and being part of so many special occasions over the years.

"Although it's goodbye for now, we look forward to seeing what the future holds and welcoming you back next summer!

"Thank you for all the memories, support and kindness."
