Ten minutes of poor concentration in each half cost Kenilworth Wardens Reserves this weekend

Kenilworth Wardens Reserves were the architects of their own downfall as they fell to a 6-2 defeat at the hands of an experienced Crick side this weekend, to leave them at the bottom of the Coventry Alliance Division Three.

Although the scoreline does not reflect well on the Reserves, it was two poor spells in each half that resulted in their biggest defeat of the season.

Missed chances cost Kenilworth Wardens Firsts against Coventry Colliery this weekend

A poor performance by Kenilworth Wardens Firsts meant they lost a very competitive game to Coventry Colliery Reserves 4-2 this weekend, to leave them fifth in the Coventry Alliance Division Two.

Wardens started off the better side, creating chances. They scored their opening goal after 10 minutes when Kingston found Pearson on the left hand side of the box, Pearson rode two challenges before prodding the ball home to make it 1-0.

Runners across the world were able to complete the 26.2 miles within the 24 hours of the day on a route of their own selection

With Coronavirus preventing the London Marathon from taking place in it's normal format, it instead gave the opportunity for runners in Kenilworth and across the world to take part in a virtual event on Sunday 4 October 2020.

The Virtual London Marathon event allowed runners to complete the 26.2 miles within the 24 hours of the day, on a route of their own selection. They could then submit their GPS evidence from the provided app.

Kenilworth Sporting FC have announced their third signing of the season today, as Sam Watts has completed the switch from Leamington Hibernian to Gypsy Lane.

Watts is an exciting, attacking wide player, but can also be used more centrally and further up the pitch.
