Kenilworth travelled to bottom side Sutton Coldfield and scored 12 tries to clock up over 70 points against their struggling hosts.
Under grey skies and driving rain Kenilworth started strongly, breaking through the opposition defence and putting pressure on the home scrum.
From a good Kenilworth clearance kick into the wind Sutton tried to take a quick lineout but only succeeded in giving winger Jayde Cruickshank the chance to race in from 55 metres which was superbly converted by Tyler Price.
However soon after Kenilworth were caught napping, after a successful 50-22 kick saw Sutton take a quick lineout and score their first try under the posts with an easy conversion to follow.
Kens centre Nathan Tilsley barrelled over soon after to put Kenilworth back in front and Price was successful with the conversion.
Despite dominating possession the Kenilworth side were trying to move the ball too wide in difficult conditions which was leading to frustration amongst both the travelling supporters and the players themselves.
Scrum Half Sam Peppitt scored after a great break from skipper Bobby Thompson but Sutton hit back after another Ken's error.
Winger Sam Miles finished well in the corner after good hands from Price and Tilsley, however yet again Sutton Coldfield were gift wrapped a try under the posts to leave the half time score at 24-21 to Kenilworth.
After some strong words at half time Kenilworth focussed on territory and set piece pressure, which led to tries for Thompson and Cruickshank. The home side were visibly starting to tire under the forward pressure exerted by Kenilworth with Bromfield and Andresen running hard at the home defence.
A catch and drive try for the prolific teenage hooker Stone was followed by another excellent finish from Cruickshank giving him his hat trick. Sam Peppitt scored two more with some silky running making it three for him as well.
Teenage prop Josh Marsden and Thompson completed the scoring with close range tries and fly half Price kicked eight conversions in total to make a final score of Sutton Coldfield 21 Kenilworth 76.
Whilst not the greatest performance of the season, Kenilworth were far too strong for a struggling Sutton side and were buoyed even more with news of Stratford's narrow win over previously undefeated league leaders Lichfield.
The final match of 2021 sees Kenilworth host a resurgent Wolverhampton who are on the back of a four game winning run (kick off 2.15).
