After over 12 months without competitive rugby, Kenilworth RFC's first XV travelled to Coventry to play local rivals Broadstreet in a friendly fixture this Saturday.

The away side came away with a 28-7 victory, against their higher league opposition.

With a squad featuring a number of new signings alongside a nucleus of players who were at the core of their recent success, Kenilworth put in a promising performance.

Tries from Ollie Burman, Bobby Thompson, Jack Ward and Ed Hannam led the combative Kenilworth squad to a deserved victory in difficult conditions.

Next week Kenilworth take on neighbours Barker Butts in another pre season fixture.
