Kenilworth Wardens Reserves find themselves on the road for the fourth time in five games as they are hosted by Coventry Sky Blues tomorrow

Fifth-placed Sky Blues have not won for over a month now, not since their 5-1 victory over Eastern Green in mid-September.

Since then, they have drawn once, and lost twice, leaving them on four points from five games.

Their record of 11 goals for and 9 against is certainly an indicator that tomorrow's will be a good game, and that chances will be there for the Wardens.

Kenilworth Wardens Reserves meanwhile have had a similarly stuttering start to the season.

The Reserves sit bottom of the Coventry Alliance Division Three after some challenging opening fixtures.

They have registered just one point so far, after a 1-1 draw with Coventrians on the opening day - a match which they had the chances to win.

Since then, Wardens Reserves have suffered two defeats to Witnash, either side of a loss to Brinklow.

Despite their less than ideal start to the 2020/1 season, the Reserves can take heart from the fact that they have created chances in all of their games so far this season.

Results so far appear to have been decided by small lapses of concentration and bad luck rather than the Kenilworth side simply being outplayed consistently.

Going into tomorrow's away game assistant manager Tom Griffith said to Nub News "despite us being on the wrong end of recent results, there is an air of positivity amongst the club following a few loan signings of Kenilworth Sporting's young players."

The town's two clubs have been linked by this agreement that will see reserve team players from Kenilworth Sporting making the trip across to Glasshouse Lane to get some minutes.

Griffith continued "this will give the team more strength in depth across both teams, as well as giving the youngsters invaluable experience in men's football as they try to break into Sporting's first team."

With this in mind, as well as the form of Coventry Sky Blues, tomorrow could certainly be the day that Kenilworth Wardens Reserves season gets up and running.

Tomorrow's game will kick off at 2.15pm at the John White Community Centre.
