Sports in Kenilworth

With the return of outdoor sport allowed from March 29, Kenilworth Cricket Club were back in action this weekend as all three of their Saturday sides lined up in a triple-header against Warwick yesterday (April 10).

Neighbours, Warwick, had a hat trick of victories on a bitterly cold day with the icy wind blowing across all three grounds as players dusted down their winter cobwebs and tried to keep warm.

On the club's final day of this year's most strange and shortened cricket season, Kenilworth Cricket Club's Sunday XI entertained neighbours, Leek Wootton, in a 40 overs a side friendly match. The fixture was played in front of a large crowd of supporters from both clubs, who enjoyed the last rays of the summer sun.

Kenilworth 269-5 (40 overs) beat Leek Wootton 162-10 (39 overs) by 107 runs
