Connor Shingler's fine 70 proved to be in vain as Kenilworth fell to a four-wicket Warwickshire County Cricket League Division One defeat at Knowle and Dorridge.
The town side had posted 204 for six with Steve Rhodes hitting a 22-ball unbeaten 33, Adie Sellar making 32 and Henry Curran 20.
In reply. K & D's opener Jake Simmons hit 51 and Isaac Maddy 39.
The side wobbled at 138 for six until a 71-run unbeaten partnership between James Hughes (49 not out) and Vidan Iyer (25 not out) saw them to 209 for six with relative ease.
Town's Joe Atkinson had earlier taken 4-26 with a wicket apiece from Rhodes and Tom Skinner.
Elsewhere the KCC second XI drew with Coleshill in the Warwickshire County Cricket League Division Seven East.
And the third XI lost to Coventry Blues by five wickets.
