The expected rainstorms held off as another impressive crowd gathered to watch the home side take on the visitors from Elgar country.
Malvern have had a mixed start to the season but their comprehensive win over Hereford the previous week ensured that the Kenilworth side paid them appropriate respect.
Kenilworth started strongly and almost immediately the pack showed their dominance with a scrum penalty which was dispatched to the corner.
Mikkel Andresen returning from international duty with Denmark safely secured the lineout and the rest of the pack drove over, with captain Bobby Thompson claiming the opening score, the kick from Ed Hannam missed to the right of the posts 5-0.
Despite Kenilworth's early dominance, Malvern soon showed their ability to take their chances when a poor pass was scooped up by their ex Premiership player-coach Rob Cook and he dashed home from 40m for a converted try. 5-7.
This sparked an immediate reply and centre Nathan Tilsley charged down Malvern's attempted exit kick, young Fly Half Sam Peppitt grabbed the bouncing ball and strolled in for a try converted by Hannam 12-7.
Kenilworth were now dominating proceedings with the pack causing all sorts of problems at the set piece. A Malvern clearance kick was fielded by full back Garrett Bell who broke through the middle.
The ball was then taken up by Mike Ryan and from the resulting ruck it reached flying winger Ben Harrison who needed no further invitation to finish well. 17-7
Excellent lineout ball was fed through the middle for a set play, where Mike Ryan burst past the visiting defence and offloaded to Tilsley for a try converted by Hannam. 24-7 However once again Malvern showed they had some fight in them and after a period of decent phase play they moved the ball well to the left and their winger stretched for the line to claim their second try which was converted 24-14.
The period leading up to half time saw Kenilworth try to over-complicate things somewhat and Malvern show gritty defence, things became tougher for the home side when winger David Opoku-Fordjour was yellow-carded for an accidental trip on fly half Cook.
The start of the second period was equally frustrating for Kenilworth with some dropped balls and silly errors compounding their efforts to seize control of the match.
However a penalty at the breakdown after a Peppitt break was kicked to the corner, a text book catch and drive resulted in Ollie Stone scoring and Hannam kicked a good conversion from the right touchline. 31-14.
Great breaks from prop Bromfield and lock Openshaw set Andresen on a dash for the line and he was hauled down by the Malvern winger, however the ball was quickly recycled for Bell to score and Hannam kicked the conversion 38-15
Kenilworth really started to open up and soon after a break up the left hand side was finished by centre Hannam who converted his own try 45-14. Another huge scrum saw Kenilworth win back possession, for Hannam to cut back in and score another converted try.
Despite a dominant final 25 minutes Kenilworth only managed one more try, this time from a lineout finished off by Andresen which was again converted by Hannam making the full time score 59-14.
Much of Kenilworth's play was hugely impressive and the pack really are setting a strong platform each week, the backs are beginning to gel and score some lovely tries.
However there is still the feeling that the side is yet to properly click and that there were still 20 or 25 points left out on the pitch.
Kenilworth remain in third place in the league and well in touch with Lichfield and Stoke who are above them at the moment. Next week sees a visit to local rivals Newbold who will certainly test Kenilworth's impressive pack.
Kenilworth's second team took on visitors Bromsgrove who play in Midlands Premier, a level above the home side. A tight match finished 21-22 with the visitors scoring in the last minute.
Home tries came from Jack Rawlins and Hugh Whidbourne and Sam Miles with Rawlins kicking three conversions. The second XV take on Broadstreet on Sunday 7 November in the Semi Finals of the County 2XV Cup at home with a 2.15 kick off.
Kenilworth Women's 1XV travelled to Loughborough Town for their latest Championship North fixture and were well beaten by 40-0.
