There are just days left to get your hands on a copy of the Kenilworth Advent Calendar which will see some 120 prizes won by locals.

Prizes - donated by local businesses - include hair cuts from barbers across the town, including Men the Barbers which has donated £50 worth of goods and services.

Blake Company in Smalley Place has given two visits for any of their services and S7Ven Barbers donated a free haircut, beard trim and restyle.

Not to be outdone, Gentry in Warwick House on Station Road has offered two free haircuts, either by Andrew Stylianos, who founded the business 33 years ago, or Michelle Elvin who joined him six years later.

This year's Rotary Club of Kenilworth calendar features an "extraordinary" photograph of the Northern Lights with Kenilworth Castle in the foreground taken by local landscape and wildlife photographer Nigel Wilkins.

As with last year, each calendar has 24 numbered doors - one for each day of advent - with a list of five prize winners behind each door, each corresponding to one of 3,500 calendars sold.

Rotary wishes to remind everyone that the sale of its Kenilworth Advent Calendar will end on November 28.

The calendars will be on sale at the following locations:

  • Talisman Sq. 21, 24 and 28 November.
  • Sainsbury's 22 and 25 November.
  • Waitrose: 23 and 27 November.

Locals can also get hold of a calendar at:

  • The Kenilworth Bookshop
  • The Tree House Bookshop
  • The Engine Inn
  • The Royal Oak
  • Boothroyd's Estate Agents
  • the Kenilworth Centre
  • Waverley Centre
  • Talisman Theatre

Or you can get your copy online and delivered to your door (CV8 postcodes) for a small charge.

And this year there is even the option to buy a virtual calendar.

All the money will go to Kenilworth causes, including Myton Hospices, The Talisman Theatre, the Waverley Centre, Compassionate Kenilworth and the Kenilworth Centre.

Winning numbers will be listed daily on the dedicated website, on the Kenilworth Nub News website, on the noticeboard in Talisman Square and on the Rotary club website.
