Kenilworth Rugby Club are encouraging local people to get involved with their move to a new ground.

As part of the new 'Build the Castle' campaign, the Club will soon begin advertising specific volunteer roles on its website and social media pages, giving Kenilworth residents the opportunity to play their part in this project.

"The club's new home, which will feature five full size rugby pitches – two floodlit – as well as a 3G pitch available to the local community, could be a reality within two years," said Kenilworth RFC.

"We want the new chapter in our rich history to be enjoyed by businesses, sports fans, rugby aficionados and youngsters alike… because you never know where the next England international is coming from.

"So, if you have experience in volunteer management, events, conference and banqueting, commercial catering, sponsorship, website development, sales and advertising, then we'd love to hear from you.

Adam Gill, the Club's videographer, answered a call for media help: "Previously, I hadn't had any involvement with the rugby club. In fact I don't know much about rugby at all!

"When I saw that the Club needed help with its digital content, I got in touch because that's an area where I'm keen to develop my skills as part of my personal development at work so it's a win-win. I hope the film helps the club achieve its ambitious plans, and I'm very happy to be a part of such an exciting project."

Campaign manager, Paul Fountaine, said: "This is a great opportunity for the club membership, the players and the #kenfamily as a whole to get behind developing the club, to get us fit for moving into the new ground."

"We're really keen to hear from local residents who would be warmly welcomed in to the #kenfamily so they can help shape the new ground and its many community benefits."
