The past month has been a busy one at Kenilworth Golf club as the summer playing season comes towards an end.

The Ladies team recently won the Chipman Cup for the Best Gross score at the Warwickshire Inter Club Team Championships held at Stratford.

This was a great achievement and the first time that the Ladies have won this cup.

The Junior team won the Warwickshire Junior Champion Club Competition which enables them to represent Kenilworth Golf Club and Warwickshire in the 2025 England Golf final, to be held at Woodall Spa, the home of England Golf.

Also in team news both the Men's and Ladies scratch teams have been promoted to division one of their respective Warwickshire Leagues.

Closer to home a number of club events have been taking place.

The 77th playing of the annual home match against Llandrindod Wells Golf Club took place, and although it was a wet day Kenilworth were able to win back the shield in a rain effected match which finished 7-3. A great day was had by all who played with camaraderie established over a number of years being enjoyed along with great food.

Captains Charity weekend was enjoyed by many of the playing members, with a morning and afternoon shotgun competitions being played. The Captains were both on the seventh tee to greet all those playing and encourage them to take part in the raffle and beat the pro.

Nearly £2,500 was raised on the day for the Captains' Charities Warwickshire Vision and Medical Detection Dogs.

With all of the main competitions for the season completed presentation events for both the men and ladies also took place with trophies for the season handed out to winners and jackets presented to incoming Captains, who take over on 1 November for their one year term of office.
