Police are appealing for witnesses after a young person was reportedly robbed in Abbey Fields.

The unnamed victim was allegedly approached by two men near the war memorial, where they were asked to hand over their bag and phone.

When the youngster said no, the men took the items by force and made the victim give up the passcode for the phone.

Following the incident - which happened around 1pm on Friday 7 April - the men ran off towards St Nicholas Church.

A Kenilworth Watch statement said the two offenders were described as black men between 16 and 20 years old with one being approximately 6ft 5ins tall and the other 5ft 5ins tall.

It added: "Did you see anything? Have you any information that might help the police identify the offenders?

"If you have any information about this crime please contact Warwickshire Police on 101 or alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111"
