Yellow weather warning issued for Kenilworth this weekend
A yellow weather warning of high winds has been issued for Kenilworth this weekend with meteorologists also saying there is a possibility of snow.
The Met Office is predicting 21mph winds from the north on Saturday (November 27) in the town with gusts likely to reach up to 60mph.
Delays to road transport are likely, and there is a slight chance of power cuts and damage to buildings.
The warning, which is in place until 6pm on Saturday, has been issued for most of the UK.
High winds will start in Scotland on Friday afternoon before moving south across the country.
Gusts of 70 to 80mph are possible in coastal locations, particularly in parts of Scotland and north-east England.
Met Office deputy chief meteorologist Chris Almond said: "Gusts of wind are likely to reach 50 to 60 mph widely, with 70 to 80 mph possible in coastal locations, particularly in parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
"As well as strong winds, rain will also move south across the country on Friday, with showers following turning increasingly to hill snow in the north.
"This wintry mix of showers will continue on Saturday, and although snow is possible almost anywhere away from the far-south, accumulations are likely to be confined to hills."
