Hundreds of pounds worth of damage has been caused to the pitches at Kenilworth Rugby Club after vandals drove across the playing surfaces.

Police have reported similar incidents overnight between Sunday, November 21 and Monday 22, and again overnight on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 November.

Kenilworth and Warwick Safer Neighbourhood Team is appealing for witnesses for the damage at the Glasshouse Lane club.

Taking to Facebook first team manager Adam Turner said: "Hugely demoralised and disappointed to be faced with this at our training pitches on Glasshouse Lane this morning.

"To those who decided to take a joyride across two of our main pitches and our Mini and Junior pitches either yesterday or last night, give yourselves a pat on the back, and a well done.

"Well done for causing thousands of pounds worth of damage, and wrecking the hard work of those who volunteer and put the hours in to ensure that these pitches are fit for use all year round, across our whole club.

"Well done for now causing around 200-250 kids between the ages of six and 16 to have to potentially not train and enjoy their Sunday mornings for quite a while."

If you think you may have seen, heard or have any information related to any of these incidents then please contact Warwickshire Police on 101 or alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 1111
