Work has begun on a new healthcare facility in Lillington, South Warwickshire University NHS Trust has announced.

The two-storey building will be built to low-carbon standards and will combine primary care services with a range of community health teams.

Deely Construction has begun work on site and the build is expected to be completed in November 2023.

Adam Parchment, physiotherapy outpatient pathway lead, said: "I am delighted to be a part of this exciting project and enhance the healthcare offering for communities in Lillington.

"Working with partners is enabling us to create a facility that will bring together different services and develop new pathways for patients which are personalised to their needs.

"This will help us improve outcomes for patients, as well as help to signpost to other services."

The new health centre is being developed by the trust, its subsidiary company SWFT Clinical Services, Warwick District Council and Coventry and Warwickshire's Integrated Care System.

Cllr Judith Falp, WDC's portfolio holder for community health and wellbeing added: "We are very pleased to see that work on this project is underway, which once complete will see the health, wellbeing and community services for Lillington and Cubbington under one roof, which is so vital to serving the growing needs of this area."
