Woman in 80s hit by car in Kenilworth

Police are appealing for information after an elderly woman in Kenilworth was hit by a car last week.

At around 10.15am on Tuesday (7 July) there was a collision between a woman in her 80s and a red/orange Citroen C1 on Warwick Road near the junction of Waverley Road.

The pedestrian "suffered serious injuries to her leg and foot" which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward.

"Were you walking or travelling along Warwick Road in Kenilworth around 10.15am last Tuesday (7 July)?" a force statement said.

"There was a collision between the driver of a red/orange Citroen C1 and a pedestrian near to the junction of Waverley Road.

"The pedestrian - a woman in her 80s - suffered serious injuries to her leg and foot that are not believed to be life-threatening.

"If you saw what happened or you have mobile phone/dashcam footage, please get in touch via the link in the comments quoting incident number 131 of 7 July."
