Here are our top picks for the coming days:

1. Talisman Fringe

Talisman Fringe returns to the Holiday Inn for its third instalment on Thursday 1 September.

The show includes two short plays and music from local performer Eric Eracleous.

There will be two shows at 7.30pm and 9pm.

More details here.

2. The Ladykillers

The Talisman Theatre's latest production 'The Ladykillers' continues until Saturday, September 3.

The Ladykillers is a classic black comedy; a sweet little old lady, alone in her house, is pitted against five oddball criminals who'll stop at nothing.

The plot is centred around the septuagenarian Mrs Wilberforce, who accommodates Professor Marcus, a very keen amateur musician, in her very creaky and subsided Victorian house, at the end of a cul-de-sac near to Kings Cross St Pancras station.

But what Mrs Wilberforce doesn't know is that the five musicians are actually planning a security van heist, and manage to successfully execute the robbery and get her to deliver the loot safely back to the house, assisted by the local constabulary, all in absolute ignorance.

More details here.

3. Wellbeing Walks

The Virgins and Castle pub is running its latest wellbeing walk this Sunday, September 4.

The walks start and finish outside the High Street pub.

Dogs are welcome!
