Week of road closures for HS2 as work on viaduct progresses
Over a week of closures for a Balsall Common road have been announced as works on the new 425-metre-long viaduct progress.
HS2 will shut Truggist Lane in two phases this August as it is "now ready to remove some sheet piling for the pier closest to the road".
The first closure will be from Monday 18 August to Friday 22 August 2025. The second will be from Tuesday 26 August to Friday 29 August 2025.
The closures will be in place from 9.30am until 3.30pm each day.
"Please note if the works progress well on a day-to-day basis, BBV will lift the closure earlier then mentioned," HS2 said.
"Please note that our highway consent requires Baulk Lane to be closed when Truggist Lane is closed.
"Access for residents will be maintained.
"Please note due to the nature of the work being carried out pedestrians and cyclists will be escorted through the closure."
HS2 was given planning permission for the structure in 2023.
