Warwickshire Police has addressed concerns regarding the planned protest activity scheduled in the county for this weekend.

Yesterday (7 August), officers engaged with local residents and businesses to address any apprehensions.

In a statement, Assistant Chief Constable Claire Armes emphasised: "We recognise that people are worried and have been asking numerous questions about the planned protest activity later this week.

"Our approach to policing is impartial and unbiased.

"While individuals have the right to peacefully protest, we will not tolerate any form of criminal or violent conduct.

"We are committed to dealing with any crimes or instances of anti-social behavior promptly and decisively."

She reassured the community that comprehensive policing plans have been established to ensure that residents and businesses can continue their daily activities without disruption, adding: "Your neighbourhood officers and PCSOs will be visible and available throughout the week.

"Should you have any concerns, please feel free to approach them and have a conversation."
