A local endurance athlete is set to reach another milestone as he eyes his 850th career sporting feat.

Paddy Doyle will be attempting a cross country duathlon consisting of mountain biking and cross country speed marching carrying a weighted backpack over Claverdon Village footpaths and country lanes in Warwickshire.

His support team are all ready and waiting to get behind him.

"It will be another tough challenge which the World Record Holders Associations have set me," he told Nub News

"But I have a great team around me who are determined to push me all the way to clinch the 850th."

Doyle's long term aim is to hit the 1000th milestone, covering 11 different sporting categories.

He is aiming to beat Scotland's multi World Record Breaker and rated Britain's fittest man William Cannon, who said in 2001 he wanted to reach the 1000th mark.

To date the Scottish endurance athlete has reportedly achieved 640 records and strength challenges.
