A local narrowboat marina is set to go under the hammer next month, with a guide price of £950,000.

Fenny Marina, in Fenny Compton, has 1,500 metres of fixed mooring with up to 85 serviced berths, and will be put up for auction with Bond Wolfe on February 8.

The site also includes a dry dock, workshop, chandlery and offices, as well as a three-bedroom bungalow with extensive gardens.

The marina sits next to Waylands Business Park as was originally developed in the 1970's.

Recent refurbishment has seen the private driveway and carpark resurfaced and electric security gates installed.

Nub News previously wrote about the marina in October 2022, when it was on the market for £1.35 million with Avison Young.

The brochure says: "The property comprises an established inland waterway marina originally developed in the 1970s.

"The facility is approached along a recently resurfaced private driveway with electric security gates leading to a carpark with the marina basin beyond.

"The office, chandlery and stores face the canal towpath with the dry dock and bungalow at the southern end of the basin.

"The marina basin extends to approximately 4.46 acres and is predominantly rectangular with direct access to the canal."

The marina basin has direct access to the canal, while the single storey office also includes a reception area, kitchen and bathroom.

Complete with two workshops, the dry dock will accommodate a single narrowboat of any size.
