Warwick Hospital is now running "as normal" for life-threatening and emergency situations after a flood in its accident and emergency department.
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust issued an urgent public update yesterday afternoon (March 28) calling on locals to use alternative services.
The statement said A&E at Warwick is available for "those who urgently need it" but directed other patients to minor injuries at Stratford Hospital, NHS 111 and local pharmacies.
While the trust says it is under extreme pressure still, it has also said teams have restored the area following the flood.
A South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust spokesperson said: "Following the flood in our Emergency Department at Warwick Hospital on Tuesday 28 March, teams have been working hard to restore the area.
"The service is now running as normal for life-threatening or emergency situations.
"Please continue to ensure you are using the right services for your needs.
"Use 111 online as the first port of call, access GP and pharmacy services and only use 999 if it is a life-threatening emergency. A reminder that Stratford Minor Injuries Unit is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9am-5pm.
"Thank you for your support."
