The Accident and Emergency Department at Kenilworth's closest hospital, Warwick, has been forced to close today

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, which operates Warwick Hospital, issued a statement this morning (Friday, December 11), informing the public that the department had been forced to close.

An "emergency maintenance issue" has forced the hospital to "temporarily" close its A&E department.

The statement continued "we are currently unable to treat patients, so please use alternative urgent care services.

"We will continue to keep the public updated. Thank you for your support."

Kenilworth Nub News has contacted the trust for more information.
