Each month Warwick District Foodbank updates its 'most needed parcel items' to give residents an idea of what is needed.

The foodbank, which has a site at the Kenilworth Centre, also gives a list of items that it has plenty of.

Food parcels provide three days of nutritionally balanced, non-perishable food for individuals or families.

In Kenilworth, item donations can be made by the checkouts at Waitrose and at Sainsbury's seven days a week.

In November last year it was revealed by operators The Trussell Trust that up to 34 per cent of food parcels in the district were given to young people.

A statement on its website says: "Over 90 per cent of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that's why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food."

This month Warwick District Foodbank is looking for donations of:

- Long-life fruit juices

- Instant noodles

- Small jars of coffee

- Small bars of chocolate

- Instant mash

- Sponge puddings

- Washing powder and tablets

- Washing up liquid

- Men's deodorant

- Toilet rolls

- Cleaning sprays and cloths

This month Warwick District Foodbank already has plenty of:

- Baked beans

- Pasta

- Soup

- Feminine hygiene products

- Cereal

- Tinned tomatoes

The foodbank cannot accept fresh food or infant formula milk.
