All three lanes of the A46 southbound have reopened after a five-vehicle crash caused miles of queues this morning.

Police and ambulances were called to the crash just before the Leek Wootton junction at 8.07am.

Initially all lanes were blocked after the crash between a van and four cars.

Police reopened one lane before 9am, and all three were reopened after 10.45am.

Queues had been reported as far back as Stoneleigh.

Two ambulances were called to deal with driver injuries, but no details have been provided.

A Warwickshire Police statement said: "Report of a five vehicle collision on the A46 southbound between the two Warwick junctions.

"There are injuries."
