Ukrainian refugees living locally will be given free entry to the town's Fireworks Spectacular at Kenilworth Castle, organisers have announced.

Organiser Kenilworth Round Table has now sold over 70 per cent of tickets for the November 5 event but is offering advance tickets to Ukrainian families.

Described by Sir Jeremy Wright MP as a "wonderful charity event" the money raised on the night will go to support causes across Kenilworth.

Gates open at 5.30pm with the mini fireworks at around 6.15pm and the main fireworks at around 7pm for about 30 minutes.

There will be food and drinks stalls as well.

"I want to thank Round Table for their characteristic generosity and I am happy to support their efforts," Sir Jeremy added.

Ukrainian refugees living locally can claim their free tickets by contacting [email protected] before November 3.

Organisers said: "The annual Fireworks Spectacular next to Kenilworth Castle is Kenilworth Round Table's main public event of the year.

"We're so excited to be returning in 2022 after a couple of years away.

"This event has grown over many years to its current position as the premier firework display in the region, attracting people to Kenilworth from all over Warwickshire and beyond.

"Our display is always a firm favourite in the town's calendar.

"We raise tens of thousands of pounds for local good causes too – all the funds from the night go straight back into the community."

Regular tickets are now available on the Kenilworth Round Table website.
