Plans to build two new homes on a piece of green belt land in Burton Green have been submitted to Warwick District Council.

Stoneway Estates Ltd has applied for planning permission for the houses on Red Lane.

The application site is next to another plot which already has approval for two dwellings.

If approved, the scheme would see an empty field developed.

"Burton Green is identified as a growth village in the WDC Local Plan and is considered to be a sustainable location for a modest amount of additional housing," the application said.

"Although the site is outside the defined village boundary, the previous appeal concluded that the site would be suitable for 'limited infilling within a village'."
