Twelve Kenilworth art exhibitions are set to take place in a countywide event this June.

Warwickshire Open Studios' Summer Art Weeks will see over 400 artists across Coventry and Warwickshire display their work for free this June.

In Kenilworth there will be mixed displays from Kenilworth Artists at St John's Church as well as an exhibition from Kenilworth Art Club.

With Gallery Grace Elliott also opening for the event, there will also be nine other local creatives showing their work around the town.

Whilst there is no expectation on guests to buy work at any of the 149 venues, local creatives will be selling their pieces throughout the event.

The weeks will run between 18 June to 3 July and all the details can be found on the art weeks map here.

Among the many artists in Kenilworth, Pam Kelt will be displaying her cyanotype prints during the week

In Kenilworth you will be able to see:

  • Pam Kelt's print making.
  • Sonya Vengrova's ceramics.
  • A mixed display of work from Kenilworth Artists at St John's Church.
  • Drawings and paintings at Gallery Grace Elliott.
  • Collages from Diana Davies.
  • Paintings from Ann Forrester.
  • Paintings from Liz Townsend.
  • Photography from Julie Cooke.
  • A range from Kenilworth Art Club.
  • Painting from E. P. Clare.
  • Collages from Lawrence LJAS Art.

Organisers said: "This year's is a bumper year, as we have over 400 artists and makers taking part at 149 venues across Warwickshire and Coventry.

"From bars to barns, cafes to churches, galleries to gazebos, halls to hallways, you'll find amazing original art presented by the talented creators.

"As well as the many new artists taking part this year, those you may have visited previously will be sharing new work.

"And all at affordable prices should you be tempted to treat yourself or buy a gift for a loved one.

"As ever though, there's genuinely no expectation to buy anything.

"But if you do, you can be sure the artist will do a happy dance. Entry is free to all our venues and everyone's welcome, so why not start planning your visits today?"

But before the art weeks get underway, Warwickshire Open Studios is running a smaller showcase for local artists in Coventry.

Nearly 100 artists from Warwickshire and Coventry submitted a piece to be part of the Litton Tree Summer Show.

The exhibition runs at the Litten Tree, Coventry, between 12pm and 4pm from Thursday, June 2 to Saturday, 11 June.

The exhibition will include 2D and 3D pieces across the full range of art forms.

More info and a gallery of the work can be found at here.
