The trophy cabinet at a local golf club was raided by thieves during a break in last week.

Two burglars broke into Coventry Golf Club in Stoneleigh on Monday 15 December and stole a number of trophies.

The St Martins Road incident - which happened at around 10.55pm - saw them break in through the back door.

Police are appealing for information.

A force statement said: "Once inside, offenders headed to the trophy cabinet and proceeded to steal trophies associated with the club.

"Whilst inside the building the offenders were wearing gloves and had their heads/faces covered.

"Offenders are believed to have arrived and left the scene in a BMW (no known make/model/colour)."
