The driver of a car which had a tree fall on it on Saturday (December 7) said she was "extremely lucky" not to be hurt.

The tree fell on the vehicle on Warwick Road in Leek Wootton at around 4pm on Saturday.

Images sent to Nub News show the extent of the damage, with part of the tree coming through the windscreen.

They also show the fallen tree had blocked the entire road.

The driver - who said she was not hurt - has thanked locals for supporting her and her daughter after the incident.
