All trains to Kenilworth will be cancelled this Saturday (October 8) as more strikes by members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport workers union have been announced.

West Midlands Railway (WMR) has confirmed that there will be no services along the Nuneaton to Leamington Spa line for the third day this month due to industrial action.

Kenilworth has already been without rail travel twice this October following strikes on Saturday 1 and Wednesday 5.

WMR did not run any trains anywhere on its network during the previous two strikes but will run a limited service on some lines this weekend.

The rail operator said services on Sunday October 9 will also be impacted due to displacement of trains.

Jonny Wiseman, customer experience director at WMR, said: "It is disappointing that our passengers' journeys will continue to be affected on three more days of industrial action in October.

"A limited service will operate on Saturday 8 October. Morning services will also be impacted on the days following the action.

"Customers holding purchased tickets can travel on alternative days or they will be entitled to a refund."
