Traffic lights will remain in place for longer on Stoneleigh Road for HS2.

The lights were installed on Monday 20 April and will remain in place 24 hours a day until Friday 15 May.

Lights were due to be removed on May 10.

"We will be doing additional investigatory work and utility diversions in preparation for the west tie-ins and the new realignment over the Green Overbridge," HS2 said.

"Access to properties and Stoneleigh Park will be maintained throughout the works."

Further roadworks will then happen on the road on the following dates:

  • 24/7 – Monday 1 to Sunday 7 June
  • 8am-6pm – Monday 8 to Sunday 14 June
  • 8am-6pm – Monday 13 to Sunday 26 July
