Motorists are being warned of temporary traffic lights near Kenilworth School next week.

Warwickshire County Council is set to start work on a new footway to link Knowle Hill and the Glasshouse Lane school - following months of campaigning by town councillors and parents.

Works are due to start on Thursday 11 December and last until Wednesday 24 December.

The council said: "We will be starting with vegetation removal works, and in order to achieve a biodiversity net gain, we will be replanting in adjacent and nearby areas.

"During the works, in order to maintain the safety of our workforce and of the passing public we will have temporary traffic lights in place.

"We will only have the traffic lights in place when necessary, but we understand this will cause disruption when the lights are in place at peak times and we ask for your understanding while we complete this urgently needed route to school."
