Three people charged with the murder of a Kenilworth man are due to appear in court today (March 25).
Lewis Dowling, 24, of Yarnfield Road, Birmingham, Patricia Dowling, 49, of Chestnut Avenue, Kenilworth and a 16-year-old boy from Kenilworth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged with murder on Monday.
A 72-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender on Sunday night after a man in his 40s died at a house on Chesnut Avenue on Friday night.
Emergency services attended the scene just before midnight where the man was found in cardiac arrest. He died at the scene.
All three people who have been charged appeared at Coventry Magistrates' Court on Tuesday where they were remanded to appear at Warwick Crown Court today.
Following the alleged murder, Warwickshire Police has released a statement to reassure locals.
Detective Chief Inspector Collette Okeefe said: "While I know this will cause shock in the local community, I'd like to reassure them there remains no risk to the wider public and we believe the incident was contained to the house.
"We'll have officers in the area – carrying out further enquiries and providing reassurance - over the coming days, so if you have any questions, please speak to them.
"Equally, if you've got any information that could help our ongoing investigation and you haven't already come forward, please tell us."
Anyone with information that could help police with their enquiries can call 101 quoting incident 491 of 20 March 2026. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
