Thief pretended to be jewellery buyer to steal from Kenilworth home
By James Smith 26th Mar 2026
A homeowner in Kenilworth has allegedly seen some of their jewellery stolen after a thief posed as a buyer to gain entry to their home.
Police reported the man entered the house on Camelot Grove at around 2.55pm on Wednesday (March 25) "claiming to purchase jewellery".
While there they were allowed to look at some of the resident's jewellery.
The resident said they then realised a gold wedding band, gold ring with ruby jewel, a silver necklace with blue pendant and a British Service Medal were stolen.
"Suspect has then left incident location before householder has realised items have gone," police said.
On the same day a house on Garlick Drive was also burgled, with more jewellery and car keys stolen.
There was also an attempted burglary on Moorlands Avenue.
The burglar tried to snap the porch lock but was stopped by the householder before escaping in their vehicle.
