A Kenilworth coffee shop is closed this week as work expanding it gets underway.

BrewQuest Coffee announced last month that it was taking over the former barbershop next door on Warwick Road and expanding.

The business confirmed it would be closed this week as part of the works.

In a statement on social media, BrewQuest said: "As you all know we were waiting on a start date for the "hole in the wall".

"This date is now confirmed for Monday 18 May with work expected to last until Friday 22 May, which means we will be closed for five days (sorry)!

"We aim to reopen on Saturday 23 May, however this may change due to unforeseen circumstances whilst the building work is taking place, so please check our social media for any updates."

BrewQuest Coffee opened in the former Shine Medical Cosmetic Clinic in October last year after weeks of work on site.

The former Slate Creative Studio barbers next door closed at the start of April.

BrewQuest was opened last year by two self-acclaimed "coffee geeks" - husband and wife Marcin and Magda.

The business has already been a big hit with locals, with the couple also quick to thank their customers.

"Thank you for your continued support and all the positive feedback regarding our new journey and hopefully all work will be done very soon," they added.

"We can't wait to see you all again with a warm welcome delicious, coffee and fabulous cakes."

Keep up to date with the expansion plans on Facebook here.
